There was a very grim and tense Atmosphere on the Imperial Abaddon class Battleship. One of the many in this fleet... The Emperor ordered an entire fleet to the Jovian border for a secret mission, including three of the experimental Abaddon classes. I was placed on one of them, a lowly soldier awaiting for some news. No one knows me, they just ordered me and my family on here for some reason. I didn't knew why the High Command send a fleet of about 200 ships to the Jovian borders, especially near one of their "scientific" specific systems: Vak’Atioth. It's only just in Jovian space i think, i wasn't too sure, no one tells something o the likes of me. Well i shouldn't complain, I'm on the newest ship of the Amarr Empire. I heard rumours that these new battleship have some kind of experimental weapon. Well i didn't want to think about it, my job is simply to keep an eye on the Antimatter-Flow... thats all!

After 3 months of constant warp, i felt the fleet going out of warp. It's a most unusual feeling that's hard to explain.... Its like u being sucked into a vacuum and slowly pushed out again. It wasn't long before i heard the Fleet Admirals voice on the comm lines. Broadcasting from our flagship: The Apocalypse. It was just a very short message really; "We have arrived at our destination, now that we are here and three months away from the closest civilisation, I can tell you our objective. We are to enter the System of Vak’Atioth, a research system belonging to the Jovian people. We are to set a presence here and make first, or i should say, second contact with the Jovians once again. And through that... negotiate... the systems surrender so we can put a base and expand our great empire! All ships: Battlestations!... Make the emperor proud!"
I didn't like it at all... Negotiation, yeah right. The last time we negotiated was for the "Surrender" of the minmatar homeworld. None the less I have job and i must do it!
I saw the antimatter-flow speeding up... our lasers are charging...

I kinda shook on my legs but tried to ignore it. I knew fully well the jovians woulnd't just sit there and let their systems be taken over one by one... They most likely already had a fleet there before we even started moving, we didn't knew the jovians specialised in information at the time, including Amarrian Fleet movements. Arriving at a small research station, orbiting a Class H Planet, we stopped. The jovian fleet was staring at our golden fleet.

Silence.... Absolute Silence... nothing to be heard besides the soft hum of our engines... powering our state of the art lasers that were most likely aiming the closest Jovian ship they could.
Then it happened, out of nowhere our flagship shot the first volley right at the Jovian Battlecruiser. As it sat stationary it couldn't have moved away and took the full blast, melting right through the armour and hull, bursting to their engine core... A Blue flash of light and a small shockwave that we barely felt.... The first Jovian ship has been destroyed. Immediately the Jovian fleet scattered all around, zooming in every direction... mostly in groups of 5, no more. We had no idea they had Micro-warpdrive technology. I panicked... this couldn't be true.. Their ships were so fast we couldn't track them at all!!! First they went for our cruisers and destroyed them with ease, at least ten cruisers flashed bright blue and disintegrated.... twenty, we had no chance at all!
Finally our interceptor squad got here, quickly chasing the small ships off, yet they were still faster. I saw the blue lasers of my ship shooting something, what it seems, a Battleship, but it was no use, their shields were too strong!.

Then when I thought it couldn't get worse... something big.. no... something mind-boggling huge uncloaked right at our starboard. It was the Jovian mothership!. Every single Amarrian ship that was left standing shot everything they had at it, yet it didn't seem to bother. I saw something charging from the mothership.... something flashed green... so amazingly bright green u could easily get blind just looking at it... it was the Jovian superweapon, aimed boldly at our flagship. The green beam shot right through it like it was nothing, four or 5 other battleships that were the Apocalypse's Elite Guards exploded due the side effect of the superweapon, an anti-matter shockwave. I have never seen anything like it, my heart stopped, I have never seen and felt such terror, I had to get off this ship now!
I ran through all corridors, my mind numb, my heart racing, simply running. I found it! The stolen Gallente interceptor: a taranis.From instinct i jumped right in it, about to close the door until I saw a woman running towards me, holding a baby. She yelled, screamed, tears poring from her eyes, the baby crying but i couldn't hear it. Her mouth, her eyes begging me to wait, to take her with me....
Before she could reach the ship... I closed the hatch and pressed launch. The interceptor warped straight off to where ever it was headed....

My scanner showed less and less Amarrian dots... until the moment the scanner was completely empty.. the proud and eternal Amarrian fleet wiped out.
It was about three or four months, I lost track of time. My mind still full of the terror, even after all this time. Barely water left, barely food left, I was just bones. De-hydrated and on the verge of collapsing I finally heard the bleeb from my scanner. With what little to no strenght I had left I pulled myself to see it... three dots... thirty dots.. it was a solar-system!! I looked out of the window and my heart stopped. If I could cry, if I could scream out of agony I would. I entered the system of the Amarrian blood enemy: a small Minmatar rebellion force.

The stolen ship was tractored in and I was pulled out from it with force. I couldn't speak, not that I did not want to. I tried, but the words were unheard. My mind was still numb. I got dragged over some floors, hard cold floors, and then forcefully thrown into a very small stone box. I'd say it was bigger than one meter in any direction, forcing my to roll myself up. The walls where rough, it felt like tiny glass splinters yet the ground was very soft and comfortable.It wasn't long before I realised it wasn't as comfortable as I though it would be... I seem to be sinking into the spongy like substance! I needed to keep moving to keep myself from "drowning". But I couldn't!! I had no strenght left and my body was aching.
One hour passed... four hours passed, my limbs were screaming but I couldn't give up! Out of instinct.. as my mind was still "disabled" I kept moving against my will. 16 hours passed...
My limbs couldn't go anymore... they just stopped, paralized one by one. First my finger, my hand, arm... legs... I couldn't move anymore.... my body was simply stopping to work.
Just when I thought I couldn't get more terror in my heart... I was going to die.. Slowly, suffocating in this sponge... Slowly, inch by inch I got drawn in... trying to keep my nose up... till it vanished into the spounge.. I couldn't breath... My lounges were yelling but could not get oxygen from anywhere... My heart didn't had anything to pump anymore. But then... in my last microsecond of life, the very last moment before death I saw it.. sanity came back and to my shock I felt happiness, anger, sadness and deep deep love at the same time. I saw the face of the screaming and begging woman, the face of the little boy she was holding... I died.. with her face in my mind, my last thought... My wife and little boy...

Elf Fantasy Fair Convention

One of the best times of the year has finally come, the event i looked forward to for the whole year! The place where Medival Warriors, Mystical mages, Cute GothLoli's, Epic Cosplayers and many many other different people came together for the yearly event of fun and awesomeness: The Elf Fantasy Fair!

This year was even more awesome than last year, besides the insanely good weather we got, it was insanely busy, i never seen that many people together, and Certainly not that many people who are RP-ing in their Alter Ego. It was simply amazing. We walked for hours and never got bored, there was always something to see. In fact, there was so much and many people to see I regret ever leaving the place... I might just wanted to live there. A place where I wasn't just some nerdy geek, no I was one of them, I never felt more in my place than on this convention, finally I could be what I want to be: a Geek.

We went there by car and got some strange looking faces looking at us, which I kinda enjoyed. All those "Normal" people had no idea what was going on. Some liked it, some looked with a how-dare-they-walk-like-this looks. Not that I care, I knew I was going to the best part of the year, and i wouldn't let those normal shallow people ruin that for me. It wasn't long driving, i estimated like an hour orso, but after a maximum of 30 minutes driving we were already there!! And it was hard to miss at that, its not everyday u see thousands of people walking in the most unnatural and most unique costumes walking in hordes.

After the long long queue we got in!, Blown away by the amount of people, it was just mental. But no matter, more people means more amazing costumes, and like the one above, u can see some people put a LOT of time in it, which absolutely made it worthwhile. Some costumes were just mind-blowing, the detail on them was just staggering. And in my opinion the costumed varied a lot more compared to last year. Although we saw a lot and lot of Avatars, Mad hatter and Narutards, but besides that the costumes were mostly unique and variable.

Besides the costumes quite a lot was to do, but somehow we didn't got to do much of the events... wich i kinda regret. None the less we had a good time.

Stories of Eve: Antem Assault Part 2

Well in last story i explained why i rebelled against my own alliance and in this story i'll tell the last week or 2 in Antem... fighting against our ex-alliance as simple pirates.
It all started simple really, we kinda just barged into their defense fleet a... 2 weeks ago with 4 ships total.
As expected all 20 of them ran to the nearest station and docked safely. It was kinda late and i thought nothing would happen anymore so I logged off and went to sleep. The next morning i logged on and went to my Corp's killboard i saw something awesome. The three remaining ships went against a fleet of about 10 to 12 people, and actually killed 8 before forced to retreat. And only lost 2 ships! (link to killboard)
Apparently they warped in separately and they could pick them off one by one. Great fight and a good show of force.

The day after i myself went into the system with my Amarr Carrier. And managed to kill 3 of them, until they blobbed me and got out logistical ships, making it impossible for me to do any more damage.
A week later Erervos and Xvisha went back into antem in a Heavy Assault cruiser: the vagabond and a Battleship: A Typhoon. It wasn't long before the alliance decided to attack and there they came, a full gang of 9 ships. Most other pilots would run away from this fleet, but us expodder never run. And somehow in some odd way they managed to kill all 9 ships (two jumped out into high security space out of fear, and died to to local Concord Police..) and they did not lose a ship. (killboard)

Well my pride couldn't let this happen of course, my corpies taking away all my glory. So i took my solo battleship: The abaddon. with my skills, setups, drugs and implants it was a pure tanking beast, able to take huge and i really mean HUGE amounts of pounding.
Jumping in i saw an Absolution, Zealot and a rupture on the gate, knowing fully well i can expect a blob of ships to come to rescue them, none the less i engaged the Absolution, who had a nice tank but not enough, it died, the pilot got out in an escape pod. The reinforcements warped in; 2 dominixxes, another absolution, myrmidons, hurricanes, yep a whole blob that it. I decided to kill that rupture and get the hell out of there.
After tanking all of them for about 2-3 minutes i could finally jump out.

15 minutes later my corpmates came, and we were planning to eradicate that fleet of theirs with our 3 battleships. We jumped in but they were long gone... nowhere to be seen, ashamed of their defeat with the odds way and way on their side; they all docked up. After quite some smacktalk i scanned them on the Djimame gate, dangerous gate that is but we decided to take them on: a fleet of about 14 ships.
Naturally i went in first and took all of their shots onto my thick armor, closely followed by my corpmates.
One by one their ships popped with ease, still pounding on my armour but nowhere near bearking through it. I knew it, this fight will be ours. We killed 5 of their ships in total, the rest ran away and cowered in the stations. (link to killboard)

Local chat changed from smacktalk into admiration and fear now. "These guys know what their doing" and "Good fight guys, well done" was suddenly the atmosphere. We took our loot, and left the system, leaving it into a monument of fear and devestation, burning shipwrecks, and empty cargo container left at the stargates.
We arived home and celebrated our victory, but we knew we were not done yet, the alliance is still intact.
And while we were thinking that Orthud Mor, my ex ceo and loyal friend told us that he somehow got acces to that alliance wallet, and stole 500 million isk form them, preventing the alliance from Ship reimbursements.
The Chain of chaos alliance will end soon... and it will be by our hands...

All in all a very fun week so far, going extremely well and killed the alliance's morale..

Rebuild of Evangelion 1.01, you are (not) alone.

After watching every single Neon Genesis Evangelion episode at least twice, including "the End Of Evangelion" i needed to watch this movie. They said it was a retelling of the story yet it will be better, updated, better graphics, more action and all the rest of that. They also said there will be twist in the storyline including a totally different ending.

My thoughts: Meh. why?

Then i watched the first of the four movies and i was almost literally blown away. I have never seen such an improvement and such an awesome movie!!! Really everything was improved. The art was beyond epic. The music and voice acting are just amazing. The Angels are improved and are just even more epic than they were before, not to mention the Eva Units... From the very beginning till the very end i was watching the movie with my eyes wide open, trying not to blink once, i did not want to miss an inch of it!

First of all a quick introduction to those who don't know the Neon Genesis Evangelion series.
Imo one of the best animes around, one of those very very few who can get a 9.9/10.
It all starts in the near future where our beloved earth encounters a global cataclysm so-called "Second Impact". This caused by an humans experimenting with a creature called an Angel, and in this very case the Angel was "Codenamed" Adam. After this half of the human population was wiped out, the rest surviving in agony and fear of the remaining angels. Among angels there are many many different biblical references without actually referring to the religions at all, they just took the base naming sequences and the meaning behind them, they really did well with this one, gives the series a very unique feeling.
A boy, Shinji, is recruited by the corporation Nerv, who specializing in annihilating the angels and protecting mankind, a corporation with many dark secrets. The eradication of the angels is done with the big and awesome Mecha's called Eva Units.

Thats basically it really... the series already made it somehow so amazingly awesome with these simple plot elements i thought nothing could beat it. but no... The movies came...
Now what is so different u ask? Well first of all the art. The first series was made in 1995, thats 15 years ago! The art is now outdated, yet still enjoyable. Though the movies have acces to modern technology and they did not waste a cent of it. The art is supreme, from the close ups of the EVA units, to the detailed battlescenes, till the background wich are just mindgobbling. If u could give the first series a 10, the movies are off the scale compared to it.
But its not just the art that makes a movie good, its the Sound, the setting, the atmosphere, and every single aspect of it is just brilliantly done. The music already crazy in the series, have been made clearer, with more sounds, more special effects and much more music that you can listen to all day long. The atmosphere is even darker than the series, and grips your eyes... making them unable to not watch the screen.

The Angels have been enhanced, halos above them when they attack, blur effects to enhance the speed of them, and the last angel is my favourite, where in the series it was just simple cube, here it can change shape into the most beautiful shapes. They really have outdone themselves with this one.

I'm afraid i cannot say much about the story just yet, so far it follows the original story well with some flash-forwards here and then, but in the next movie it looks like we get one hell of an awesome plot change, making the movies into an entire different type of plot in all, it even looks like we getting a new character and even a new... eva unit!!! I really can't wait for that one... But i have to wait just a bit, will be out soon on DVD...

Well that's all for today, i need sleeps now. Gonna dream about my own Eva Unit.

Stories of Eve: Antem Assault Part 1

Antem... the solarsystem where a lot of stories began and ended. The very spot that in all my 5 years was either within my reach or was actually my home system. Huge scale attacks were operated here versus the old alliance, nowadays disbanded: Soul Cartel. They defended it fiercely and managed to hold their lands, and actually tried to invade our own low-sec pocket which is only 4 Jumps away: Ziasad. After they failed, where ive seen a few of the most ruthless battles, they retreated to Antem. After a month or two they disbanded, and retreated to Ami, wich is near Antem, 7-8 jumps i believe.

Shortly After that my Corporation: The Dead Pod Society, decided to create our own alliance: Chain of Chaos. Along with Dark Nova Crisis and Missions, Mining and Mayhem and a few others... the alliance was made.
Antem was vulnerable and we took advantage of it, we invaded antem and decimated the alliance that was living in it. Antem was ours. Our alliance grew rapidly... and i was promoted Fleet Commander... Under my command we defended antem many times, attacked neighbouring systems. I commanded a fleet to invade beke, and win against a quite easy war against the inhabitants. All went so well...

But things changed.... as they always do...

People were getting bored, getting more ruthless. I myself used my carrier just to lure out some fights... almost lost it and my alliance mates saved my ass... we were one unit....
But people were getting fed up, they wanted to farm, wanted to get rich and didn't care much more about PVP. They started to blob and when something went wrong they blamed the FC....
It wasn't long before we made a coalition with United Pod Services, funny enough, they are the Ex-Soul cartel.
We went on fine. Until one day...
I was in a mission to take out a Player Owned Station (POS), and at the exact same time UPS was taking out a POS as well... I told my fleet members that we WILL defend the other UPS fleet at all costs when they get ambushed. I told my fleet to use Capital ships at their own risk, some choose to use them. We sieged the POS, UPS sieged the other POS and there it was, the opposing fleet... UPS was in trouble. Though my dreadnoughts were in siege mode and stuck.
I had a choice to make... Risk my own Capital fleet.. leave them here stuck with a small support fleet and help the UPS fleet, defending them and defeating the opposing fleet. OR i could let the UPS fleet suffer great losses but i would make sure that my fleet would stay alive... this could risk our relationship with UPS greatly...
My fleet say "Do not do this, i wont help you" I told them to shut up and follow my orders.
I decided on helping out UPS. I let my dreadnoughts into siege and told a handful of battleship to defend the dread fleet. The rest of us Carrier pilot would jump right away to the UPS fleet. We killed the Opposing fleet and even killed 2 carriers of them i believe, a great great victory under my command. I was Proud.
The pos UPS sieged died, and my own fleet got out safely as well.
Though leader of the my alliance got complaints about dreadnoughts being stuck. Even though i achieved one incredible victory and enhanced our relationship with UPS, they demoted me.
It went downhill from here... Chain of Chaos was split in two side. People who agreed with me, and people who ignored me. After i lost my Carrier while trying to safe some BS in antem itself and didn't got support i rebelled against my own alliance. Starting to kill them systematically... resulting by expulsion from the alliance.
Soon followed from the Dead Pod Society to also leave the alliance as they felt it wasn't their home any more.

I went back to alal, a system i personally claimed. Now its about a year later and Chain of chaos is nearly dead. All main corps except Diplomatic Disruption left it.
Now this weekend with a couple of friends, we are going to assault Antem and finish the job, we will kill the failure that we created. A handful of people, we always stayed together and we are a PVP unit that don't need ventrilo or whatnot, we know what do do and how to do it best. This PVP unit can take twelve battleships on with only four to five battleships. This PVP unit.. are the people that all lived together under the banner of the Dead Pod Society.. The fear of the Genesis region... And we WILL have our payback...

Monday's events...

I woke up, a bit later than planned but meh, I'm a NEET, like i care. Got my coffee, put on the PC and checked my random sites that I always check... The usual killboards.. nothing much happened there, Archonia, YAY! they are sending my anime <3. Eve-files, nothing happened there.... Notcliche... nothing special. meh nothing happened like any other day.
Well better start up WoW then and do my dailies, has to be done, gonna get new 264 Gloves on my druid today yay. And I see I'm confirmed on an ICC Raid again on my lock, nice looking forward to that.
Meeeeeeh... HoL with my lock... again!! And... omg... Oculus with my druid !!!Oh well...
Ah my auctions has been sold, a nice quick 1500 gold <3...
Hmmm time for Vacuum Cleaner and general house cleaning now!!.

Now that's done I'm gonna break my keyboard on some Stepmania now... Prolly might be able to get some AA's and maybe even an AAA or two.. lets hope.
Hmm seems my dad could use some help with cooking, he insisted on cooking today but as always when i get into the kitchen I somehow in some way always seem to be helping and ending up making the whole dinner... I really should suppress that instinct...
While enjoying my delicious Home-made Chinese i was watching another episode of Star Trek Voyager of course, a very interesting double episode about the lives of Holograms.
Now my daily star trek is done I'll run back to my PC and open some Photoshop to make some icons I've been asked to make... better work on it some... Apparently I didn't have any inspiration.. oh well raid time now so I better log on.... All went well, we downed Festergut and Rotface without trouble.. no nice loot though. Wiped on dreamwalker many times but we did well anyways. Was great fun though.

Well well that was one hell of an eventful monday... Gonna watch my daily anime (have to catch up with Bleach) and prolly sleep, so gn!!

Final Fantasy XIII

Most likely the thing I looked forward to most: the new Final Fantasy! After years of waiting, after suffering from the abomination called Final Fantasy XII... after watching trailer after trailer... the day has come... It's here!!!
I raced on the day of release to the DVD shop, grabbed the first version i could get my hands on and wasted 55 Euro on it....
Yes that's right, wasted... gone... from my bank account into the void, to be never found again...
Although its better than FFXII... it has changed beyond the definition of Final Fantasy, it broke my heart.

Well lets start from the beginning: i entered the first of three DVD's into my Xbox... waited for the start up screen.. oooh looks shiny, nice theme music... and I clicked on New Game. Hmmm nice intro AH there is lightning, the main character of this game along with Sazh... After a few cut-scenes I can play. I walk around.. well around is a big word... I walk in a straight line and enter my first battle, get a tutorial and voila, i mastered the battle system. A few more straight lines more and i get to my first boss (which reminds me just a bit too much of the first boss of VII) and it died... More characters are introduces, seem all stereotypical to me... in fact, almost every character in this FF seems to already had a place in a FF... Lightning looks and acts like Cloud... Snow looks a bit too much like Seifer, Vanille a direct copy of Yuffie, and the whining Hope looks like Tidus... only Tidus doesn't whine every 2 seconds...
The only Characters that seem unique are Fang.. and Sahz, with the latter stealing the show in every single scene he is in, in fact he is my favourite character by miles.

Now what i wonder is what happened to the Final Fantasy franchise... Where are the stories that make u keep playing 24/7 just to know what happens next. Where are the characters where u feel their feelings as if they are next to you. Where is the music that seems to fit the very scene that they play in. And where are the towns? That's right, there are no towns! You just walk in one straight line until you reach Chapter 11. The chapter where you FINALLY get that Final Fantasy feeling! The open world, the amazing graphics, the Monster roaring over your head, the side quests, and that damned big titan that u cannot fight for some reason ...
If the game only started with From Chapter 11 it would have been FF worthy...

Although in each game there are also good things, one i mentioned already: Sazh. The person who seemed to be the most rational person in the game. A dedicated father who was just pulled into the storyline on pure fate, and i feel sorry for him as in most of the game he has to walk alongside Vanille...
Another good thing is the battle system, its ATB, and i absolutely hate ATB, but in this game it works somehow. U can change your characters from Caster to healers in one button and make crazy combinations and it works. Though you can only control 1 character... and the AI still does not compare to the human mind and instinct.. but it will do.
Another thing i really liked is the art and the style things are made. It is all very futuristic, yet no cyber punk. It looks good, the clothes fit the persons and everything seems to fit in.

But it does not make up for the Linearity and the easiness of this game. The fact that i killed the final boss in one time, and with ease even... which I never done before in any FF, it says a lot.

Bottom line: It's a good game, yet it's not an RPG anymore, feels more like an Action RPG to me.
No Storyline, no epic plot changes, no Bad guy for some reason... I want a Sephiroth, or a Kuja, but nope we get some priest who only talks twice to you in the game.. I just hope FF XV will get that old feeling again, the feeling that makes the game worth replaying 20 times without getting bored of it..

xxxHolic Kei

As a great fan of the Uniqueness of the xxxHolic I watched the second season in only just one week (it's only 13 episodes but still). And needless to say, it did not disappoint me... at ALL! Everything the first season has, this season has times two. The art still extremely unique and not-mainstream, the story and plot aren't overwhelmingly, yet they are there and enjoyable, the characters are full of life (i love the interaction between Doumeki and Watanuki-kun) and are all unique in their own way. It's not often I really like an anime, as most always have something to whine about, but i haven't felt this way since Mushishi (which is another must-see!!).
Filled with wicked humour, yet it has a very serious undertone to it that shows the essences of life.

Of course every anime isn't without its flaws I'm afraid. Although not very few, some things do annoy me for some reason though. As its a Clamp anime there's a lot of references in it, the most obviously is the little furry creature called Mokona that u see in Tsubasa Chronicles... only its black here for some reason, and not white, though he's still annoyingly at times but makes a great team with the mysteriously artificial twin sisters: Maru and Moro. I also find Himawari still a bit of a shallow character, I would like to know more of her but apparently Clamp thinks different about it. Oddly enough, xxxHolic wouldn't be the same without her as the comical catalyst.

But of course even with its flaws, the bright points overwhelm them. The main bright point is of course the mystical shop keeper: Yuko-chan. Still as mystirious as the first season yet the star of the show. Serious when needed, even unethically evil at some times wich even scare me.. Yet the other minute she's the happy sake-loving woman who loves to order Watanuki around despite his annoyance.

Of course every new season has new elements and new characters, and xxxHolic has quite a few actually.
From the weird cat-girl to the Dream-baloon old hippo there is quite an addition to the cast. Each of them adds some sort of new element to the show, whether its humour or sadness it all somehow fits tightly together and make the show quite addicting.

Needless to say I severely enjoyed myself with clamps new masterpiece, and looking forward to the OVA's that are already in production: xxxHolic Shunmuki and xxxHolic Rou.
